Meet our bees and our expert beekeeper, and discover life inside our hives.
Diverse Forage
Across our farm, we grow a diverse mix of native and non-native annuals and perennials, along with wildflowers and cover crops. We plan our plantings to provide a continuous succession of blooms, giving our bees abundant sources of both pollen and nectar throughout the growing season.
Placement
After years of trial and error, we’ve found the sweet spot for our hives—close to abundant forage and fresh water, with morning sun, afternoon shade, good airflow, and protection from harsh weather.
Expert Care
Our bees are cared for by Jennifer Donaldson of Birds & Bees Apiary, a Cornell-trained Master Beekeeper with years of experience. Each summer, she harvests the comb and bottles the beautiful raw honey we bring to market.
Life Inside the Hives
A closer look inside one of our hives—can you spot the queen?
A healthy hive is a remarkable little world. Thousands of bees work together to raise brood, gather pollen and nectar, build comb, and store honey. Throughout the season, Jennifer opens our hives to check colony health, watch for pests, make sure the queen is thriving, and see how the honey stores are developing.
From Hive to Honey Jar
By summer, our bees have transformed nectar gathered across the farm into frames of capped honey. When the time is right, Jennifer carefully harvests the honeycomb, leaving the colonies with what they need. The honey is extracted and bottled raw, preserving the character of the season and the diverse blooms our bees visited along the way.

Shop our Honey
Our raw farm honey is available in two sizes: 1 lb and a limited number of 3 oz jars. This year, we’re also experimenting with small-batch infused honeys. Lavender and Hot Honey have already become customer favorites, and new for 2026, we’ve added Elderberry Honey to the lineup. Our infused honeys are available in 3 oz jars, and our infused Honey Flight gift set.
Raw Honey
Pure, raw honey harvested from our own hives, capturing the diverse blooms and changing seasons of our farm in every jar.

Infused with lavender for a delicate floral flavor that pairs beautifully with tea, cheese, baked goods, and more.
